My name is Stefano Paolini and I am a stand-up comedian. I perform impressions, characters and beatboxing to create highly entertaining routines. I’ve been a stand-up comedian for over 25 years and some of my highlights include finishing runner up in both So You Think Your Funny, 2001 and the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2002. Recently, I was a semi-finalist in Britain’s Got Talent in 2022.
I perform all over the U.K and abroad including Germany, Malta, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Dubai, Abu-Dhabi, Doha, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, and Myanmar.
I’ve performed several solo shows too including, Britalian at the Edinburgh Festival in 2005, First Impressions in 2022 and Lasting Impressions in 2023 both at the Camden Fringe.
I’m also a voice-over artist and an author and published my debut book in 2015 called, Missing Presumed Drowned: A true story of the internment of Italians resident in Britain during the Second World War. You can buy my book on amazon by clicking the links below.
Missing Presumed Drowned has inspired a play on Radio 4 of the same name written by Nicholas McInerny, produced and directed by Marina Caldarone and starring Vincenzo Nicoli, Enzo Benvenuti and Eugenia Caruso.
